ECW All-Divas Special Scrapped, Mysterio’s WWE Status, More

WWE has apparently scratched plans to base tomorrow night’s edition of ECW on Sci Fi around the WWE Divas. The advertised lineup for the show on ECW.com features all male talent including a match between WWE Tag Team Champion Carlito and World Tag Team Champion John Morrison, as well as a tag match pitting ECW Champion Jack Swagger and Tyson Kidd against Evan Bourne and Tommy Dreamer. Additionally, WWE United States Champion MVP plans to bring his VIP Lounge to tomorrow night’s show, where all Money in the Bank participants star as his featured guests. While Tiffany talked about making this week’s show “Divas Night,” the Divas are not mentioned at all in the website advertising for the program.

Rey Mysterio was given the weekend off, reports The Sun. He should be on Raw tonight to further his WrestleMania storyline with John Bradshaw Layfield.

WWE has acknowledged the passing of former WWE Superstar Steve Doll, 44, who performed in the company as Steven Dunn in the tag team Well Dunn. Doll passed away yesterday after his family decided to remove him from his ventilator.
