— NECW wrestling sent this along: New England Championship Wrestling returns to live action on Sunday, October 23rd at the Irish-American Club, 177 West Street, Malden, MA with a 3 PM bell time for RISE. NECW’s RISE features a huge double main event, as the NECW Heavyweight Champion, “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke, defends his title against “The Infamous” Bobby Fish and current TNA star, Douglas Williams makes his return to NECW, where he made his American debut in 2000, to take on Matt Taven.

— We noted earlier here on the website that CM Punk got a new tattoo on Tuesday at ‘Family Tattoo’ in Chicago. “I did a tattoo of a dead fish on the back of his (left) shoulder,” tattoo artist Matt Wes told the Chicago Tribune. “It was a friendship tattoo he got with Natalie Slater of bakeanddestroy.net. There’s a story behind the tattoo that means something to their friendship.”
