Umaga made his return to the ring at last night’s SmackDown brand house show in Tyler, Texas. He defeated Hurricane Helms with the Samoan Spike. Umaga got a big face response from the audience despite acting like a heel. Umaga suffered a torn PCL at a house show five months ago during a match with Jeff Hardy. He made an appearance at a Florida Championship Wrestling show in October, but apparently wasn’t really ready to return.
WWE’s apparently testing out a “quitting” angle with MVP at house shows, which looks to be the next turn in his losing streak storyline. Following his loss to Kizarny at last night’s SmackDown brand house, MVP got on the mic saying he quit. They did the exact same angle at a house show last week.
You can see video of Kizarny’s final vignette promoting his debut at WWE.com. For those unaware, he’s actually supposed to be a babyface.
