TNA Talents At OVW Tonight, ECW Arena Future?, More

— In an update from our earlier post, Chris Jericho and Steve Austin will be involved in a special roast of Zakk Wylde presented by Guitar World. It is being billed as the first-ever rock & roll roast and it will go down on January 19th, 2012 at The Grove in Anaheim, California. — Initially it appeared that the former ECW arena, which is now called The Asylum Arena, held its final pro wrestling event. Building Manager Roger Artigiani contacted promoters who kept equipment there and informed them they had 48 hours to get it out. There was an article posted in The Philadelphia Daily News regarding problems between Artigiani and another potential leaseholder, Joanna Pang, because the plan was to make the venue into a concert hall and eliminate pro wrestling events. A deal was made, and Artigiana has sold his side to Pang. Knowing all of this, the scheduled January double header featuring CZW and EVOLVE will still happen. CZW owner DJ Hyde will be meeting with Pang about future use of the venue. CHIKARA and CZW will be moving out of there though. CZW still expects to hold events there, but the future seems uncertain for other companies.
