WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena is expected to take some time off from the road in May to begin work on his next film. While he’ll likely be taking some time off from house shows for a while, as in the past, he is expected to work around his filming schedule and work television tapings and pay-per-views events in the meantime. This is also the reason he lost the World Title to Edge at Backlash. It’s a must these days in WWE that World Champions appear on house show cards.
WWE will be holding a SmackDown/ECW taping at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland on Tuesday, July 28. Tickets go on sale this Saturday morning at Ticketmaster.com.
