— Daniel Bryan was named PETA’s Most Animal-Friendly Athlete. Bryan won the award, titled the Libby, based on a mix of votes received, animal-friendly enthusiasm and fan feedback. Bryan beat out NFL player Willis McGahee, baseball player Chase Utley, and MMA’s Jake Shields for the award.
— Big Time Wrestling has announced a spring tout that will run four dates in the Northeast US and has some big wrestling names attached to the shows. The show has Bret Hart headlining the four shows with Bobby Lashley, Carlito, Shane Douglas (who is the BTW champion), Raven, Fit Finlay, D.H. Smith, and Bushwacker Luke announced as well.
The promotion will run shows March 9th in Springfield, Massachusetts, March 10 in Danbury, Connecticut, March 24 inWebster, Massachusetts and March 25 in Augusta, Maine.
