— As noted earlier, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will hold a press conference Thursday at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey to announce that WrestleMania XXVIIII will take place at the sporting complex in April 2013. MetLife officials, who spent “more than a year” working with WWE to bring WrestleMania to the stadium, expect the event to draw 70,000 fans. WrestleMania festivities will also take place in New Jersey as the IZOD Center will host Axxess and the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. WWE had initially planned to hold events in New York City but New Jersey state officials convinced them to hold everything in The Garden state. The official announcement was originally scheduled for Wednesday but pushed back a day.

— Steve Austin is currently working on his latest film, The Package. The film co-stars Expendables cast mate Dolph Lundren.

— On Sunday, Village Chess Shop in New York City will be hosting a viewing party for the Elimination Chamber PPV. The shop is located at 230 Thompson Street in the Village and there will be a $10 cover charge. A food order will be taken for delivery from a nearby restaurant and select non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. No outside food or beverages are permitted.
