— Ric Flair, who was originally inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a singles wrestler in 2008, will enter the Hall a record second time tonight in Miami, Florida alongside fellow Four Horsemen Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham and JJ Dillon. Several celebrity friends of “The Nature Boy” will be attending tonight’s induction ceremony, notably former NFL linebacker Kevin Greene. Greene competed for World Championship Wrestling multiple times in the late ’90s.
— It was reported Friday that Brock Lesnar was in negotiations with WWE officials to make a surprise appearance at Sunday’s WrestleMania XXVIII pay-per-view event at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida. According to sources, both sides have been in talks for a month and WWE at least initially wanted his return match to take place at SummerSlam on August 19. Furthermore, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is aware of Lesnar’s negotiations with the organization, thus explaining his response to an Associated Press writer’s question last week regarding a possible confrontation.
“I’m not saying a thing,” said a grinning Johnson with his eyebrow raised after being asked about a possible encounter with Lesnar. “I didn’t say anything.”
