We can now report that the security guards who were escorting fired employees from Titan Tower today were not armed.
The layoffs that have taken place today include office jobs and jobs in the production studio. WWE.com cuts are currently in progress. A number of those released had been with the company for years and had worked their way up the ranks so these are major departures.
PWInsider.com reports that the basic feeling among those who survived the cuts is that the company was trying to reduce the pay scale on the financial ledgers and the more money you made, the more likely you were to be a target for layoffs.
