Mick Foley spoke with the CBS affiliate in Cleveland about various WWE topics and his stand-up comedy tour, which brought him to Cleveland this weekend.
Foley thought the John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar match at Extreme Rules should have been stopped early to create an ending that WWE doen’t typically show, saying that it would have worked well with Lesnar’s anti-WWE Superstar character. He also says that Undertaker vs. Triple H at WrestleMania XXVIII was the best match because of its “special, unique feeling” that was different than Rock-Cena or Punk-Jericho.
He also mentioned TNA. “In my three years with Total Nonstop Action, I think exactly one guy said, ‘Hey, you’re that guy from TNA.’ I’m a WWE guy! It’s still home.” He said all of his hard feelings toward WWE washed away when they promoted his TNA book and that he needed to “go through the healing process” with Vince McMahon.
