Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon is currently enjoying a 2-to-1 advantage over her Republican opponent Chris Shays for the party’s US Senate nomination in Connecticut. The party delegates will vote at a convention in Hartford on May 18 to determine the official Republican nominee for the general election in November.
Delegates, however, are split. According to a recent report, the ones leaning toward Shays see him as the candidate with “the best shot at victory.” This goes against McMahon’s campaign trying to tag him with the “unelectable” buzzword.
