Linda McMahon got the Connecticut Republican party’s nomination for U.S. Senate at Friday’s convention. Linda got 57% percent of votes and Chris Shays got 31% with other candidates making up the remaining 12%.
Shays qualified for the primary vote in August by getting more than 15%. The winner of the primary goes on to the general election in November.
