Jim Ross said in his most recent blog that John Cena’s “FU” finisher has been renamed “The Throwback.” “Speaking of Cena, I hear his FU finishing maneuver is being renamed “The Throwback” which works for me and is certainly easier for me to communicate to my 5 year old granddaughter who’s a Cena fan of sorts,” Ross wrote. “It will be interesting to see how much knee jerk reaction this name change creates in the illustrious media. Knowing today’s trends and the vocal minority of some fans who have enough product knowledge to be dangerous, too much.”
Layla, Beth Phoenix and the infrequently seen Candice Michelle are featured in a pictorial in the February issue of Flex magazine. “The Flex shoot was incredibly amazing. It was a total dream come true for me, because it was my first media magazine of that sort outside of wrestling,” Phoenix said. “Obviously, The Glamazon has been covered in every wrestling magazine known to man, including WWE Magazine, however, I’ve always wanted to do a fitness magazine.”
Charlie Haas has a blog talking about the new year, his impersonation of “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, and his “Custom Muscle” business. On his Snuka impersonation, Haas wrote, “Being “Charlie SNUKA Haas” to ring in the New Year has to have it’s perks..afterall, wrestling barefoot was a first for me and a lot easier than I thought! Here’s to Snuka for all those year of “flying high”… I had a lot of fun!” On his “Custom Muscle” business, there will be a grand opening of a location in Frisco, Texas on Saturday, January 31. A number of WWE Superstars will be at the grand opening, and Haas will reveal them soon.
