Is John Cena Having Financial Issues?, Billy Corgan Update

— Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins and also of Resistance Pro Wrestling recently spoke about working on a wrestling reality TV show. Here is what he had to say…

“I’m doing a lot of behind the scenes stuff. We’re trying to get a reality show made. “We just signed a deal with a big reality show producer. A guy with an incredible track record. We’re in good hands.”

“We believe that wrestling is fascinating on many, many levels. Socially, politically, even economically. The struggles independent wrestlers go through to try to find work. Those are real struggles that anybody can identify with. We want to show what goes on in a wrestling company behind the scenes.

“I’ve had like nine or ten meetings so far about it. With different people. A lot of them wanted to know if this would be your typical manufactured reality show and I told them that with a wrestling company, you don’t have to manufacture reality. There’s plenty of it to go around.”

— There are some wondering if John Cena is having financial troubles after reports that he had a $100,000 lien against his home.

The situation happened because Cena (or whoever was in charge of paying the contracts renovating his home in Florida) didn’t pay the bills on time. He had a similar problem last year after a roofing company filed a $15,000 lien on the home. They claimed they were not paid for the work. He makes millions of dollars a year from WWE and is likely very rich. Reports suggest the renovation of the Florida home is what finally resulted in the end of Cena’s marriage.
