As noted yesterday here on the website, Ric Flair is no longer under contract to TNA and has also not been paid part of his contract by the promotion. Back in May, Flair stopped showing up to TNA live events that he has been scheduled for. Flair states that he quit the company back in May, while TNA says that they released him.
According to court documents filed in TNA Entertainment’s lawsuit against WWE for interference with existing contracts, the organization terminated Ric Flair’s contract on May 11, 2012. Flair, however, is still listed as a member of the active roster on ImpactWrestling.com.
Flair missed a live event he was scheduled to appear at the day before his contract was terminated. As noted, he has privately claimed that he quit the organization.
