Presser: Team 3D Academy Student Lands A TNA Contract

The Team 3D Academy of Professional Wrestling and Sports Entertainment is proud to announce the signing of yet another student to a major wrestling company. Sam Shaw has just earned himself a developmental contract with TNA Impact Wrestling.

The Team 3D Academy was opened in May of 2007 and prides itself on having trained some of the best young talent in professional wrestling today. Sam Shaw, a Jacksonville native, relocated in order to join the academy, eventually graduating and applying his skills on the Independent wrestling scene along with appearances on Ring of Honor (ROH) and TNA Impact Wrestling.

Sam Shaw was selected as a participant in the latest TNA “Gut Check.” “Gut Check” is TNA’s new monthly segment in which a young, up and coming talent is given an opportunity to earn a spot on the TNA Roster. Contestants compete in one match against an established TNA Impact Wrester, which upon completion is reviewed by 3 judges, who then vote to determine if that lucky participant has earned a roster spot based on his or her performance.

Sam Shaw, at 28 years of age, follows in the footsteps of several other Team 3D Academy graduates including Jesse Neal and “Robbie T” Rob Terry in joining the TNA Roster. TNA Wrestling can be seen LIVE every Thursday night from 8-11pm on Spike TV. These students can be seen along side the likes of such stars as Hulk Hogan, Sting, AJ Styles, Bully Ray and Devon.

Team 3D are 23 time World Tag Team champions, holding championships in every major organization in North America, including TNA, WWE, ECW, WCW, NWA as well as Japan. They are the most decorated team in the history of Professional Wrestling.
