— As noted late last night, WWE Hall of Famers “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Mike Tyson were both backstage at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view. Austin is still recovering from recent knee surgery, which is why he didn’t appear on the show. Austin tweeted the following just prior to SummerSlam going live: “No, I will not be doing a run in tonight at #Summerslam. I will not be doing a limp in either. #limpinainteasy #wwe #brokenskullranch”
— Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) was backstage at SummerSlam last night as well. After the show ended, he was spotted alongside William Regal, Jim Ross (and his wife) and others at Mick Foley’s comedy show at the Improv in Los Angeles, CA.
— As noted late last night, Charlie Sheen was not backstage at SummerSlam. It should be noted that WWE is interested in bringing him in for a future pay-per-view event. It’s possible they’ll be doing something with him at WrestleMania 29 but that is not confirmed by any means. They do want to work with him though.
— Maria Menounos was backstage visiting prior to the show, mingling with WWE talents and Divas.
— TMZ.com reporter Ryan Satin was at the event and posted numerous tweets during the show.
