The official WWE website released a statement Wednesday afternoon confirming reports on Jerry “The King” Lawler’s condition following his heart attack during Monday’s live Raw broadcast.
The statement reads, “As of Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 12, 2012, Jerry “The King” Lawler remains in a cardiac care unit in Montreal. His vital signs continue to be stable. He is awake, recognizes family members and is communicating with them. We continue to wish Jerry all the best for a full recovery.”
Meanwhile, Jerry Lawler’s girlfriend posted the following to her Facebook page:
I know everyone wants to speak to him and hear him…just know that he is doing great now and when the time comes for him to call and talk he will..I promise! Also, the rumor statutes that he was brain dead or had brain damage is completely FALSE. His CT scan of his brain came back NORMAL & he is just fine! Thanks again everyone for your love, support, and powerful prayers!! I will be bringing the King back home before you know it! :)
