— The USA Network announced via press release that they were the #1 cable channel during the third quarter for the seventh straight year. The win is the twenty-fifth quarter in a row that the cable station has topped the ratings against its competition. The network’s press release credits WWE’s big ratings win for the 1,000th RAW as a contributing factor to the win.
The network also noted that the three hour version of RAW has 4.9 million viewers so far through last week. As the original broadcasts averaged 4.54 million viewers, that means that the show is bringing in an average 8% DVR increase.
— As noted earlier, current WWE Diva Kelly Kelly and former Diva Torrie Wilson are listed in Sports Illustrated’s “Top 15 Spots WAGs (Wives And Girlfriends) on Twitter” list. Kelly Kelly, who is dating NHL player Sheldon Souray, ranks at #13 while Torrie Wilson is at #8 as the girlfriend of Alex Rodriguez. The two share the list with the likes of Brooklyn Decker, Eva Longoria, Carrie Underwood and Hilary Duff.
