CM Punk Rips WWE’s Creative Team, WWE ’13 Update, More

— While making an appearance last week in Columbus, Ohio at the Wizard World Comic Con, WWE Champion CM Punk was asked how far ahead of time storylines are planned out in WWE. Punk replied, “Trust me when I tell you that they have no idea what they are doing.” He then joked that the statement would be “twisted around” and he would get heat for saying it. Punk also said he was trying to get the company to change the design of the WWE Championship and are annoyed with him always asking about it. Sara Del Rey signing with WWE in a training role was also mentioned and Punk said many think she should be used on television. He added the Divas division is wide open for a new star to emerge with the departures of Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix.

— While pre-orders for the new “WWE 13” video game are already ahead of last year (that game set a new record for pre-orders), it ended up being the lowest selling game for THQ. The belief is that sales will be much stronger this year with the addition of the Attitude Era mode and the huge marketing push in the last few months.
