WWE Moves The Royal Rumble PPV, Umaga’s Return?, RAW

Umaga’s 90 day non-compete clause with WWE has expired and he is said to be interested in wrestling in Japan. He did work as a headliner for All Japan as Jamal before he was brought back to WWE under the Umaga gimmick. It should be noted that there is become much less work in Japan for American wrestlers and more so in All Japan which tends to focus more on natives and a select few of foreigners. No word on if TNA is interested at the moment.

WWE has moved the 2010 Royal Rumble PPV to 1/31. The show was scheduled for 1/24 which would have put it up against the NFL AFC or NFC Championship game. Apparently WWE scheduled the Royal Rumble without knowing that the NFL would be running a championship game that night, and made the move when they became aware of it once we posted it here on the website.

KXPI in Pocatello, Idaho will begin airing MyNetworkTV on 9/14, so people in that market will begin having access to Smackdown then.
