During her concession speech last night, Linda McMahon went out of her way to thank not just her family, but also WWE.
“I want to thank also the men and women of the wonderful company that I helped grow, World Wrestling Entertainment, because without them, I could not be standing here on this stage tonight, so I want to thank them.”
She also thanked husband Vince McMahon, who stood off to the side and smiled and nodded. Linda then joked he was “very shy and doesn’t want to come out.” Shane McMahon stood next to his mother during the entire speech. Linda made mention that her family was there several times, and noted that she was very proud of them.
