Sources close to the Strikeforce promotion report that the rumors of Strikeforce holding their final event on January 12 are true and Strikeforce will be folding and closing up shop after this event. This comes off the heels of TMZ’s announcement that Ronda Rousey is the first ever female MMA fighter on the UFC roster.
Strikeforce and Showtime officials are opting not to comment on the story for now. Rousey’s manager Darin Harvey also reportedly would not confirm the story when asked for comment.
