Does WWE love New York? Celebrity gossip site MediaTakeOut.com is reporting Tiffany “New York” Pollard (of VH1’s “I Love New York” and “Flavor of Love”) is training to be a pro wrestler and is very close to signing a deal with WWE. The site claims New York could play an “integral role” in Wrestlemania 25. Keep in mind, this is the same site that claimed Eminem was training for WWE last year, so take this one with a grain of salt. Note from Ryan Clark: I would take this with a grain of salt and would even go as far as to speculate that there is no truth to this report but we’ll see.
A WWE employee who works in the front office at WWE headquarters told PWTorch.com last week’s “Black Friday” firing spree was different from previous layoff days in that security guards were present on every floor of the building. “It had a different aura to it,” says the source. “The last time a bunch of us were laid off, there weren’t security officers escorting everyone laid off out of the building.” While its never good to see longtime co-workers go, the source says the spared employees are trying to stay upbeat about the situation. “There’s agreement that a lot of redundancies were eliminated. A lot of good people left, but those of us left can pick up the slack.”
