Diamond Dallas Page to receive Frank Gotch Award
WATERLOO, Iowa—The National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum has selected Diamond Dallas Page to receive the Frank Gotch Award at the 2013 George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame weekend.
The George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame weekend will take place July 12-13 in Waterloo, Iowa. Ric Flair, “Cowboy” Bill Watts, and Chris Taylor have been chosen by the selection committee for the Class of 2013.
The Frank Gotch Award is given to a professional wrestler who brings positive recognition to professional wrestling through work outside the ring.
Page wrestled for every major wrestling organization, including WCW, WWE, and TNA. He was a three-time WCW World champion. Page is also an actor and a fitness instructor.
Winners of the Lou Thesz Award, George Tragos Award, and Jim Melby Award will be released in the coming weeks. A full schedule of events will be released at a later date.
