— SaukValley.com has a profile up on Alex “Zander” Jones, who recently signed a three-year developmental deal and is moving to Tampa, Florida this week to begin his NXT training. While he was working on a masters in strength and conditioning at USC, he met WWE superstars Rikishi and Gangrel at the LA Fitness Expo. The two of them convinced him to try and start training at the KnokX wrestling school and a week later he met John Cena at the USC weight room when WWE was in town for a RAW taping. Cena was impressed with Jones and invited him to a WWE tryout camp last August.
Jim Ross and Gerald Brisco were also impressed with Jones and told him he could be a top star one day. Jones said: “They all said, ‘You could be our guy. Look at John Cena. That could be you.’ Now, anything less than being a champ would be a disappointment.”
Jones can be followed on Twitter at @TheZanderJone.
— On a new episode of Prime Wrestling TV on Sports Time Ohio and DirecTV, a handicapped girl got to become a professional wrestling valet and live her dream. Former WWE star Zach Gowen and Gregory Iron who are also both handicapped helped Jill Dials become a valet on the show. Dials is a fan of Prime Wrestling and is also confined to a wheel chair because she was born with Spina Bifida. This is really good stuff. Major props to Zach Gowen, Gregory Iron and Prime Wrestling for doing this.
