John Cena’s RAW Promo, Track The Royal Rumble, Austin

— Mike Mooneyham of The Post and Courier is featuring a new column looking at the promo by John Cena during the 1/21 WWE RAW that received negative reviews by many in the wrestling media including those backstage in WWE based on reports. Mooneyham writes, “But there’s a reason why a performer like Cena, who should be the darling of the WWE Universe, is disliked, if not downright reviled, by a healthy portion of the fan base. The kind of promo Cena delivered Monday night is a big reason why. To call it garbage would be an insult to garbage.
