While speaking with the New Jersey media to promote WrestleMania 29, WWE VP John Saboor noted that the company feels that they will do more than 1.3 million buys for the event. The number is based on Saboor using 1.3 million as the number of buys for WrestleMania 28 (although the reported number from WWE was 1.217 million PPV buys).
When asked about live attendance, Saboor said they expect more than 70,000 seats to be sold. WWE sold 52,000 on the first day and generated more than $10 million in first-day revenue. WWE also believes the local economic impact in the New Jersey/New York market will exceed the $103 million for Miami last year.
