Newsday reports that the police report for Reid Flair’s death notes makes reference to drugs. The site reports that the report lists the time of death as between 1:30 AM to 10:35 AM on Friday, with “drugs” as the only word listed under “incapacity type.”
A press release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department notes that the cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner’s office. The report also notes that Ric Flair found Reid and called authorities for help, meaning that the 911 callr eleased was in fact the WWE Hall of Famer as we reported earlier. You guys need to remember that the man’s son is laying feet away from him dead. He’s obviously frantic during the call. It’s his worst nightmare.
The case has been assigned to a homicide detective as of today; foul play is not suspected.
TMZ.com obtained and posted the 911 call that was placed after the caller found Reid Flair unresponsive in his hotel room last Friday. The caller tells the 911 operator that Reid was “out cold and purple.” TMZ is reporting that it was Ric Flair who placed the call, though past reports noted that it was hotel staff who found Reid and not Ric. The investigation into the death is still ongoing.
