Pittsburgh To Honor Bruno Sammartino On Friday – Details

On Friday, WWE Hall of Famer Bruno Sammartino will be honored in his hometown of Pittsburgh as they recognize the 50th anniversary of his first WWWF Title victory on May 17, 1963. Sammartino defeated Buddy Rogers in May 1963, then held the title for nearly eight years. Sammartino lost track of the original title belt he won from Rogers, but the belt was recently discovered and presented to him over WrestleMania weekend.
