» “The Wrestler” movie was said to be a factor in John Laurinaitis’ decision to suspend Tuesday night Florida Championship Wrestling house shows at the Bourbon Street Night Club in New Port Richey, FL. He wanted WWE to disassociate themselves from the type of atmosphere seen in “The Wrestler,” which made him feel doing a show in a bar was not something they wanted to be associated with.
» Batista and Rob Van Dam are co-starring in a movie called “The Wrong Side of the Tracks Part I.” It is scheduled to be shot from 2/3 to 2/24 in Baton Rouge, LA. Batista had been looking to get some time off since Wrestlemania because he wanted to try his hand at acting, but due to other injuries in the company, it kept getting moved back.
» The idea of a Trish Stratus vs. Michelle McCool match at WrestleMania was discussed at a creative meeting two weeks ago. Many felt a Beth Phoenix vs. Stratus match would be good, but officials felt they’ve done it already with the mixed tag match a few weeks ago. After Stratus’ performance in her match on Raw, the feeling is that she’s still good enough to pull out a decent match with McCool that would be entertaining. There is also hope that the rub from Stratus would help McCool get over. Stratus is also said to be very open to various in-ring appearances and matches but nothing full-time.
» Speaking of Trish Stratus, for those of you who have not seen this yet let me just say that this is one brand new picture of Trish that you MUST-SEE. Wow what a BACKSIDE!! She’s amazing.
