As I noted yesterday here on the website, only a very select few people within TNA were aware of the Hulk Hogan deal. The rest of the TNA office was informed about it 15 minutes before Hogan’s press conference. The talent was notified via a text message shortly after the press conference.
Top TNA officials including Dixie Carter and Vince Russo had a meeting with SpikeTV executives in New York City this week. The meeting was planned before the Hulk Hogan press conference. It’s interesting to note that Jeff Jarrett wasn’t there, nor were Hulk Hogan or Eric Bischoff. As I exclusively noted earlier, Hogan will not book TNA Wrestling. He’ll have influence on his storylines but will not book the entire show.
Hogan will have some influence over talent that he’d like to see brought in, though TNA is not required to bring anyone in as part of the Hogan/Bischoff deal.
Hulk Hogan’s autograph signing drew 300 fans in Manhattan this week.
