The Great Khali, who also moonlights as an assistant sub inspector with Punjab Police, was suspended today by the force for going on “unauthorized” leave.
The WWE Superstar had been on an official absence since December after filing for a five year leave of absence from the force under “extraordinary” circumstances.
Arunpal Singh, Commandant of 7th Batallion of Punjab Armed Police, told DNAIndia.com he was not entitled to additional leave. As a result, he was officially suspended for failing to return to duty as scheduled.
Khali is currently healing from an injured knee which required surgery.
