It was just announced on the UFC TUF 10 finale on SpikeTV that TNA will be running a live Monday night show on January 4th.
Although not much was revealed, the show will go head-to-head with RAW and will feature the debut on Hulk Hogan in TNA Wrestling.
Hogan appeared alongside Dixie Carter and Eric Bischoff on the UFC telecast. They were shown on camera.
Later in the show, Hogan was interviewed by UFC announcer Joe Rogan and he confirmed the live special. Hogan said he was a UFC fan and that the fighters tonight were “going to war.” Rogan pointed out Hulk Hogan had signed with TNA as Dixie Carter’s new partner. Hogan put over SpikeTV and said they had “just gotten the word” that TNA will be going “head to head” with WWE on Monday Nights on 1/4. Hogan said he was there to “take over” and you’d “never know when the old man with the yellow boots” will get back into the ring. Hogan sounded like he was fighting off a sore throat. Dixie Carter was shown watching during the announcement, but did not speak.
More shortly but this appears to be a test to see how a Monday night show would draw.
