1/4 TNA iMPACT! Update, Bret Hart Update, Sabu Note, Lots More

» While Monday’s TNA iMPACT will be a live show, they will still tape TV on Tuesday night from Orlando. Those tapings will air on Thursday, January 14th.

» Eric Bischoff posted a new blog entry discussing this Monday’s 1/4 live iMPACT! special. We posted most is that here on the site yesterday. Bischoff acknowledged WWE bringing in Bret Hart and says the timing is no coincidence. Bischoff says WWE is “reacting to the competition”, but is happy for Bret, who “will be able to put a painful and personally traumatic part of his life behind him.”

» Ed “Brutus Beefcake” Leslie is working on an autobiography titled “Reborn on the Fourth of July.” Leslie survived a near-fatal parasailing accident on July 4th, 1990.

» There will be a LIVE WZR Radio special this coming Sunday (1/3) from 8-10EST. We will be covering TNA vs. WWE the following night. We’ll post the live media player and chatroom links here on the website on Sunday night around 7EST. We will also be taking your live phone calls throughout the night and will discuss which promotion is currently better – WWE or TNA? We plan to have a major debate with your calls so please be sure to join us!! Should be fun.

» Due to the WWE return, Bret Hart’s appearance at Wrestle Reunion 4 has been moved from Saturday, January 30th from 2-4pm to Saturday, January 30th from 12-2pm.

» ECW Original Sabu will be appearing with AJ Styles at The Wrestling Universe store in Flushing, NY on January 9th from 12-2pm.
