There was an emotional moment on the Legends of Wrestling special from AXXESS on the WWE Network last night when Ric Flair and Michael Cole were talking about Flair’s retirement match at WrestleMania 24. Flair got emotional when talking about the match and his career ending.
Cole then mentioned how Flair’s family was at ringside and they showed a clip of him talking to them at the match. Flair got more emotional when talking about how his son Reid Flair, who passed away just over a year ago, was a big Shawn Michaels fan. Flair was in tears at this point.
On a related note, Flair spoke to fans at AXXESS last night from inside the NXT ring and said the greatest honor of his career is that his daughter Charlotte is carrying on his legacy in the ring.
