Hello, and welcome back to TPWW.net and your News and Rumors, The People's News and Rumors. For the second day in a row, it's extremely hot here in New York (at least for early May) with temperatures in the high 80s. Now, I'm not going to say "I'm gonna pass out from the heat", but it's definitely uncomfortable for May 7. Well, like I've said before, this isn't the People's Weather Website, it's the People's Wrestling Website, so lets get on with the News and Rumors.

First off, the main event for ECW's Hardcore Heaven, which takes place next Sunday, May 14 live from the Rave at the Eagle's Ballroom in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has been officially announced and it's the main event that has been speculated since Cyber Slam... It's a Three Way Dance between The ECW World Heavyweight Champion, Justin Credible, the man who Credible beat for the ECW title, Tommy Dreamer, and Credible's former Tag Team Partner, Lance Storm.

Only two other matches besides the main event have been announced for Hardcore Heaven, one being a match that has been booked for the last two Pay Per Views in a row, and still has not happened as newly crowned ECW TV Champ, Rhino takes on the original Hardcore Icon, the Sandman. Also set for Hardcore Heaven is Rob Van Dam's return to in ring action as the Whole F'N Show takes on the New F'N Show, Jerry Lynn in what could be another classic.

Reminder, RVD's making an appearance on the X Files at 9 PM on FOX. Should be interesting to see how Rob does tonight in his second main stream media appearance in recent memory.

Last night in Minneapolis, Minnesota, ECW taped yet another edition of ECW on TNN/Hardcore TV. Some the matches that took place included Tommy Dreamer vs. Simon Diamond and The Baldies vs. Doring and Roadkill vs. Nova & Chetti in a Three Way Dance. Also in action was Lance Storm taking on Jerry Lynn, Rhino defending the TV title against Tajiri, and Raven challenging Justin Credible for the ECW World title. To read the results, click HERE.

Moving onto the WWF for today, it's Sunday Night, thus the WWF bring us Sunday Night Heat... Matches for the show include Too Cool taking on the Dudleys, Head Cheese against Kaientai, the Godfather goes up against former partner, D'Lo Brown, and Perry Saturn going up against Val Venis.

I was checking out the WWF Shopzone today, and I must say that the Rock is completely dominating merchandise sales at the site, with 6 items in the top ten... Along with the Rock's items, Triple H, the Acolytes, Steve Austin, and the Hardys have items in the top ten list.

If anyone enjoyed Debra's brief return to the WWF last Sunday at Backlash, and wants to see more of the fiancée of Stone Cold Steve Austin, you can check out a brand new photo shoot that Debra did with WWFDivas.com by clicking HERE.

Here's the ever popular, yet often unreliable and vague, Raw preview from DIRECTV...
WWF RAW: The McMahons' Revenge
WWF Warzone: Y2J Explosion

On the topic of DirecTV preview, here's the ever revealing Nitro Preview from DirecTV, which actually gives something away... "Slamboree Results; new WCW Champion." That's right, new WCW Champion. It looks like David Arquette's reign as champion may very well finally come to an end tonight in Kansas City.

Reminder, WCW.com is having a streaming video special tonight at 6:30 for 90 minutes titled "Hacked into Slamboree". Chad Damiani and Nitro Girl, Spice give you an insider's look at the PPV. Included on the show is a look how they made the Triple Cage for the Main Event, and Spice takes all of us into the Women's locker room in WCW. Check WCW.com for more details.

Another interesting little note from WCW.com is that this weekend, WCW.com has a special gallery entitled "Girls, Girls, Girls" with galleries of Torrie Wilson, Kimberly, Miss Hancock, and Paisley.

For all of our AOL readers out there, at 6:30 tonight, you have the chance to chat with a legend, the man who many consider made wrestling, Hulk Hogan. By going to keyword, LIVE at 6:30, you can access the chat with Hogan, and without a doubt, it'll be interesting.

Slamboree Predictions

- Jeff Jarrett vs. Diamond Dallas Page vs. David Arquette - Should be an interesting match here, as it has the possibility to be one of the coolest gimmick matches in the history of wrestling. Tough match to call here, but I'm going with Jeff here, as David Arquette shocks the world and costs Diamond Dallas Page the World title, and sides with the New Blood.
Winner: Double J

- Hulk Hogan vs. Billy Kidman - The odds in this one are definitely stacked, with Kidman being favored. Going have to go with Kidman here, as Bischoff will screw over his former meal ticket, Hulk Hogan.
Winner: Kidman

- Sting vs. Vampiro - The two "Brothers in Paint" have a nice feud going here, definitely think that the result will be inconclusive with the Stinger winning the battle, but Vampiro after the match proving that the war isn't over.
Winner: Sting

- Scott Steiner vs. Hugh Morrus - Hugh Morrus over Scotty Steiner? You got to be kidding me...
Winner: Scotty Steiner

- "The Franchise" Shane Douglas vs. Ric Flair - With Flair going to the Great American Bash, I can't see him winning here. I'm seeing Russo and company screwing over the Nature Boy, after the 14 time Champ put up a valiant fight.
Winner: The Franchise

- Buff Bagwell vs. The Total Package - Out of all the feuds in WCW, this one bores me the most. Bagwell at times can be an above average heel while I don't think anyone has cared about Luger since the nWo's first run on the top of WCW. Gonna have to go with Luger here, though.
Winner: The Total Package

- Chris Candido vs. The Artist - I really don't care about either of these guys, though the Artist had something good going before Russo/Bischoff came in, but now, he really doesn't fit in the New Blood/Millioniares Club angle. Maybe after a loss here, TAFKAPI can join up with the Misfits in Action.
Winner: Candido

- Terry Funk vs. Screamin' Norman Smiley and a Mystery Partner - Unless the mystery partner is Mike Jones (Vincent, Virgil, etc), the Mystery Partner takes the title.
Prediction: Mystery Partner

- Shawn "The Perfect One" Stasiak vs. Curt Hennig - Stasiak is allegedly perfect, Hennig was perfect, and since the word "is" relates to the present, and "was" relates to the past, I'm going to have to go with The Perfect One.
Winner: Stasiak

Reminder, if you're not ordering Slamboree tonight, we'll have LIVE and FREE Coverage of WCW's May Spectacular, Slamboree at 8 PM Eastern. So stop by around 8, sit back, and enjoy the coverage.

Couple of other notes before I go today, huge thanks to Erik, who runs the Guess The Wrestler section here at TPWW for holding a TPWW.NET sign during this week's Hardcore TV in a match between Tommy Dreamer and Simon Diamond. We should have picture of the sign in tomorrow's edition of the People's News and Rumors.

Well, that's it for today. Now, after you've read today's News and Rumors, and you still haven't satisfied your wrestling crave, check out my column, The People's Column, which has been updated this week. So until next time (which should be Thursday), Ciao...
