Hellllooo, and welcome to the Saturday edition of the News and Rumors here at TPWW.net. First off, I want to wish everyone a happy Memorial Day weekend. Hopefully everyone's enjoying their time off. With that said, here are today's news, notes, rumors, ramblings, whatever.

Kane returned to action yesterday at the WWF House Show in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, taking out the Big Boss Man and defeating him with a Chokeslam after Paul Bearer explained to everyone in attendance at the house show that it was the Boss Man who "broke" Kane's hand. I would assume that Kane's hand injury has healed, and we could see him back in action as soon as Monday's Raw is War. You can check out the complete results of yesterday's house show HERE.

With the addition of WWF Smackdown! to their lineup, UPN has obviously greatly benefitted in the ratings department. In fact, according to Dave Scherer, UPN's ratings have risen by a huge 36% this season. However, the network managed to only gain a fifth place finish, behind ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX, and only defeating the WB network. Nonetheless, Smackdown and the WWF have greatly benefitted the once failing network.

Sunday Night Heat comes to us tonight from Evansville, Indiana, and the card for the show seems rather impressive. Here's what you can expect for tonight's show:
- Eddie Guerrero vs. The British Bulldog - European Title
- Chris Jericho vs. T&A;
- Rikishi vs. Gangrel
- The Godfather & Dean Malenko vs. D'Lo Brown & Saturn

WWF.com has added WWF ring announcer, Lillian Garcia to their WWF Divas web site. For all the fans of Lillian, you can check out her photo shoot HERE.

Thanks to Jeff Rose for sending this in: "For the last three weeks Smackdown in the Cleveland area has been off the air, due to the Cleveland Indians playing. This happens during Baseball and Basketball season. UPN usally shows Smackdown on Saturday. That is most likely why the rating have been down a bit."

Thanks to mayhem2go for sending this in: "Frank and Sons collectable show in Walnut, California will have special appearances by the Blue Meanie and his rumored girlfriend Jasmine St. Claire next Saturday, June the 3rd from 1pm to 3pm. Inside the show there is a sweet wrestling booth with all kinds of goodies for you maniacs. Call information for directions."

Thanks to Brent Byington for sending this in: "Ken Shamrock is back! Not in wrestling but in the Toughman Competition. I was listening to the radio (101.1 WRIF-Detroit) and a commercial came on. They said this Friday night at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit the Toughman Competition had special people in it. They had some football players vs. Wrestlers lead by the one and only, Ken Shamrock. (They didn't say who the other wrestlers were.) The tacklers vs. the grapplers. Thats 8:00 this Friday night at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit."

Thanks to everyone who sent along the following tidbit on Stephanie McMahon, specifically JI3007 who sent along this one: "I was at the River Rave concert in Foxboro, MA yesterday with two of my friends. After Everclear finished Stephanie McMahon came out to announce Godsmack, to plug King of the Ring, and to say she was signing autographs. Someone had a slut sign and everyone chanted 'Slut, Slut, Slut' at her."

Dustin Rhodes recently taped a few vignettes for his upcoming character, "Platinum," which if you haven't figured for yourself, will be very similar to his character in the WWF, Goldust. He is expected to debut soon. I don't know about everyone else, but I personally can't wait to see this.

For all the WCW fans down under, World Championship Wrestling will have a tour to Australia in early-mid October of this year. In fact, they will be taping Nitro and Thunder in Australia. Nitro will be live on October 7 in Brisbane, and Thunder will be live on October 9 in Melbourne. WCW will also have other shows on October 11 and 13.

On the subject of international WCW tours, WCW will also have a WCW Nitro in the United Kingdom on November 10. Good to see WCW expanding to other parts of the world. It should be interesting.

Diamond Dallas Page recently taped episodes of "The Roseanne Show" and "The Donnie and Marie Show." His appearance on The Roseanne Show will air on June 8, and his appearance on Donnie and Marie will air on August 14.

Daffney will miss both Nitro and Thunder this week, according to 1wrestling, while she has her tonsils removed. She is expected back next week. Hey, I guess this shows what all that screaming can do.

WCW.com has released a Nitro preview for this week. Here is what you can expect for Monday's show:
- Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner will be in the house to speak, and will be looking for Vince Russo.
- Ric Flair has been cleared to return and will also look to confront Russo about David Flair, Reid Flair, and his "funeral" last Monday.
- Tammy will look to confront Miss Hancock
- Sting vs. Billy Kidman
- Rey Mysterio Jr vs. Lieutenant Loco (Chavo Jr) in a Lumberjack match

In an unrelated note, thanks to Mikey G for the plug.

That about wraps it up for today's report. There is not much overly huge news today, but hey. As always, be sure to stop by tomorrow for more news and rumors. Happy Memorial Day weekend to everyone.
