Hello and welcome to TPWW.net. Yes, I have somewhat avoided complete disaster after a lot of problems yesterday, but I am back. If you read Ry's report yesterday, he made a mention that I was having severe computer problems, which was in fact the case. I have no idea exactly what it was, but for whatever reason, I simply could not connect to the Internet from Monday-Tuesday night, even after trying every possible scenario to resolve the situation, including re-installing both software and hardware. Nothing worked, so I decided, "Ah, what the hell, let me just re-format the computer. I'll back up everything on CD-RWs anyway." So, I backed all my files up and proceeded to reformat my computer. When it was complete, I began to re-install everything I lost from the backup CDs. However, less than half way in between the copying of the files, my CD-ROM simply stopped reading the CD. I have now found out that my CD-ROM is completely busted, which SUCKS horribly. So basically, I spent most of last night re-downloading all the files I had lost and attempting to bring my computer as close to normal as possible, which explains the late/lack of updates yesterday. Well, now that I've mentioned that, here are today's news and rumors.

This may contain a minor spoiler for tonight's WCW Thunder broadcast, so please skip to the next paragraph if you'd rather not know anything that will go down on tonight's broadcast... Shane Douglas, Chris Candido, and Bam Bam Bigelow seemingly reformed the Triple Threat at last night's WCW Thunder taping in Norfolk, VA, as the three wrestlers came to the aid of one another. All I can say about this is that it's about time. Shane Douglas does in fact own the name "Triple Threat," so the name of the stable is not a trademark of ECW. This should definitely be interesting.

Standards and practices shot down several angles involving Vampiro and the Demon at Monday's Nitro. Here are a few of the situations that were scrapped off the show, according to Dave Meltzer: Asya was originally supposed to make her return to WCW, only to have her dressing room set on fire by Vampiro. This would have set up the match for Vampiro and Demon, as Demon is engaged to Asya in real life (and would have been mentioned as an angle). In the actual match, Demon was supposed to blow both fire and blood in Vampiro's face, but that was also turned down by standards and practices. Another situation that was turned down by S&P; was that Christopher Daniels, the character in the robe that Vampiro was talking to, would be named, "The Lord." That name was also scrapped.

In another note from the Vampiro vs. Demon match, you may have noticed that Vampiro looked really hurt after jumping off the NitroVision screen onto Demon. I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but I noticed blood near his shoulder. However, Vampiro was reportedly fine after the show.

Lance Storm mentioned on his website, StormWrestling.com that he has received his work visa and is now free to work in the United States, specifically for WCW. There is much speculation that Lance may debut as early as this Monday on Nitro. I certainly would love to see it and I hope for the best for Lance during his time in WCW.

According to several reports, Kimberly has parted ways with (quit) WCW due to undisclosed "creative differences." Kimberly apparently did not feel she was being used properly in WCW and simply has walked out. Some may second guess that this is an angle in WCW, but for now, that doesn't appear to be the case and Kimberly is now gone from WCW, possibly only for the time being or possibly permanently.

Diamond Dallas Page will be taking some time off from WCW, however, for a different reason. Page will take some time to rest his injured back, which is why the "I quit" angle was played out on Nitro.

Bobby the Brain Heenan will not be commentating for tonight's Thunder broadcast due to a family emergency. Mark Madden will take his place.

Atlanta Braves pitcher, John Rocker was backstage at Monday's WCW Nitro visiting. I wonder if he met Vince Russo and his 24 inch New York pythons.

One of Scott Steiner's "freaks," Midajah, is on the cover of the July edition of Iron Man Magazine, which is on newsstands now. You can check out the cover at ironmanmagazine.com. Thanks to Brandon Tomblin for pointing that out.

- Jeff Jarrett vs. Billy Kidman (WCW World Title)
- Vampiro vs. The Demon

Here is the spoiler-free card for Thursday's WWF Smackdown!:

- Chris Jericho vs. Bull Buchanan
- Rikishi vs. Val Venis

During the Val Venis/Rikishi brawl, Val nailed Rikishi in the back of the head with a television monitor and a chair. According to WWF.com, Rikishi received 12 stitches in his head for the hit, but is now doing fine.

Several wrestling videogame release dates have been finalized. They are as follows (Note a corrected date for Anarchy Rulz' Dreamcast version): All years 2000
- WWF No Mercy (N64) - November 17
- WWF No Mercy (Gameboy Color) - December 17
- WWF Smackdown! 2 (Playstation) - October 26
- WWF Royal Rumble (Dreamcast) - August 2
- ECW Anarchy Rulz (Playstation) - August 9
- ECW Anarchy Rulz (Dreamcast) - November 15

This comes belated, but I have to give my thoughts on the Monday night shows, since I thought both were nothing short of spectacular, or "tremendous" as Cyrus would say. Both shows definitely get an A in my book. Jericho vs. Triple H definitely stole the show once again on Raw. Whenever those two lock up, you can just feel the excitement. They always put on an amazing match. You've gotta respect both Triple H and Chris Jericho's efforts. One thing that I really enjoyed on Nitro was the whole Ric Flair angle. It had my interest through the beginning of Raw. I loved it and couldn't believe when Flair got his hair cut. Great TV there. But of course, Monday night also had its downs to bring down the ups. Honestly, Hulk Hogan has to be the slowest, most boring wrestler in the business today. I just have to give it a mention. His prime has obviously passed. He once could put on a match like no other, but today, there just isn't any excitement anymore. I cannot stand the EXTREMELY slow pace of his matches. It just comes off so terrible on TV. And why, after just hitting the Leg Drop on Jarrett, was he knocked down for about a minute when Goldberg simply touched his legs to stop the pin? Anyway, looking on the plus side of things, I think both shows definitely deserve an A in the grade books.

Thanks to The Great II for sending this in: "I'm from Chennai, India and yesterday on a local news channel Tatanka, Marty Janetty, Rocco Rock, and some other wrestlers apparently touring India were interviewed. They were just talking about how great India was among other questions the interviewer was asking. All of these wrestlers are wrestling for a local company called the World Wrestling Forum (????) So that answers the question on the TPWW Q&A; that all the people were asking."

That's about going to wrap it up for today's report. Hopefully I can get everything back on track as far as my computer goes, so until next time, later.
