Only 6 days between a report, shouldn't be that big of a problem, right? Welcome to The People's Wrestling Website, "the site for the wrestling fan in all of us". Well, as we come off one of the best WCW shows in a while, Thunder and head into WWF Smackdown, these are The People's News and Rumors.

I thought Thunder was a great show. It had that great mix of good wrestling, good angles, and great comedy. I thought the main event was alright, while the Kanyon/Booker T angle was excellent, the continuation of Lance Storm attacking WCW Cruiserweights was great, and of course, the debut of Three Count's new single and the revelation that David "Tank" Abbott was a Three Count fan was hilarious. (the situation with Tank dancing to the Three Count song was the funniest thing to occur on WCW television in years).

No rating for Thunder as of now, but I'd assume it would obviously be in the 2.0 to 3.0 range before all is said and done. Personally, the last two shows booked by the committee seemed to be some of the best stuff WCW has done in a while, with or without Vince Russo.

Quick update on the man known as Vinnie Ru and his status with WCW... Various sources state that Russo's problems with Bischoff and Brad Siegel aren't over the whole Elizabeth/Kimberly/Lex Luger blow ups, but rather WCW has lost one of its largest sponsors, and the show needs to be toned down a bit. Basically, it all boils down to the whole situation with standards and practices, that Russo would have to tone down the show in order to please both Eric and Seigel. Yet Russo seemingly won't compromise as of yet, thus Vince won't be writing WCW TV next week.

But the Committee that booked both Nitro and Thunder, (Terry Taylor, Ed Ferrera, and Bill Banks among others) will be booking next week's shows. I definitely wonder how that will turn out, hopefully for the best.

Also on a WCW related note, tomorrow, June 23, 2000, WCW's Leggy Blonde, Ms Hancock will be launching her own website, MsHancock.com. Should be fun to visit, as Hancock is definitely easy on the eyes.

On the topic of WCW Wrestlers and websites, one of my favorite wrestlers, the man from Calgary... Alberta, Canada, Lance Storm has updated his commentary at his website, StormWrestling.com. This week, Lance talks about his first week of TV tapings in WCW, his impressions about the company, and a few other things. Click the link above and follow the appropriate links to get into the Commentary section of his site.

Couple of ECW notes for today... First up, the main event for the TV tapings in Milwaukee at the Rave on Friday Night will be the ECW Television champion, Rhino going up against Rob Van Dam. Also on the card will be Francine vs. Jazz, Tajiri goes up against Little Guido, and New Jack goes one on one with Angel of the Baldies. Add in the returns of Raven, The Sandman, and Dawn Marie's return to ECW TV, and Justin Credible will defend his ECW World Title against a soon to be named opponent.

On the card for the Saturday night tapings in Chicago, will see the battle of the Hardcore Icons, as the original Hardcore Icon, the Sandman attempts to win the ECW World Title against the Self Proclaimed Hardcore Icon, Justin Credible. No other matches have been announced for the Odeum Show, but I'm sure it'll be affected by the tapings the night before in Milwaukee. The two shows together are being dubbed by ECW, The Midwest Massacre. From the matches that I just mentioned, it sure seems to look like a massacre, and it will definitely affect the ECW Heat Wave 2000 card in LA which take places in July. Now, if you're attending either of these cards, we here at TPWW.net would greatly appreciate it if you would send in the results as both nights will be TV tapings.

Remember when I mentioned a PPV with an exploding ring match up between Terry Funk and Japanese Hardcore Legend, Atsushi Onita? Well, according to Dave Meltzer, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commision has shut it down. Add in the fact that the tickets weren't selling that well, the show was destined to fail no matter what.

Couple of WWF notes for today, first being that the WWF has opened up an auction site recently, with several WWF superstars donating several possessions for charity. According to WWF.com, The Big Show has donated a pair of boots, Stone Cold Steve Austin has donated one of his infamous knee braces, and The Kat has donated a bikini bottom. To check out the site, click HERE.

Triple H was on WWF.com's "Byte This" today, so if you're a fan of the Game, I'd advise you to check it out by visiting WWF.com.

Great news for the Millions... and Millions of The Rock's fans, as The Rock along with The New York Mets' Mike Piazza is on the cover of USA Weekend, which is issued with most major newspapers on the weekend. The Cover shows both Rocky and Piazza, and has the statement, "Wrestling vs. Baseball." Should be a fun read, so check it out if you get the chance.

Thanks to Chris Robinson for the following tidbit on Fully Loaded, "I recently received a satellite TV guide in the mail entitled 'The C-Band Guide' and there is a little piece of interesting information. On one of the pages there are two colored ads. One of them is for WCW Bash at the Beach, and the other is for WWF Fully Loaded. The ad for Fully Loaded has a picture of Stone Cold Steve Austin that takes up over half of the ad. Stone Cold's eyes are shown as blood red. Could this mean that Austin will return at Fully Loaded and get revenge?" Could happen, but then again, does anyone remember the promotion for Armageddon with the Undertaker?

Well that's it for today, sorry for the late report, but it's been a busy and hectic week for both myself and Triple A to say the least. Triple A should finally be back tomorrow. Until next time, Ciao...
