Welcome to TPWW.net, The People's Wrestling Website. First off, I want to apologize for being missing in action as of late concerning the news and rumors reports here at TPWW, but as Ry stated on Thursday, it has been a "hectic" week to say the least. However, I have seemingly cleared up all personal issues and everything seems to be back on track. Over the next week or so, you can expect a lot of changes in the TPWW updating schedule, which will allow for both more frequent and earlier updates. You can also expect some great new columnists to make their debuts on TPWW VERY soon. Before I continue, more props go out to Mike Christopher for working his a$$ off covering for us this past week. Now, with everything hopefully cleared up, here are today's news and rumors.

The WWF King of the Ring pay per view comes to us live this Sunday night at 8:00 PM EST, and it should be a pretty good PPV to say the least, considering the several matches and the magnitude of their importance. It is definitely shaping up to be a very interesting card. As of now, the card is as follows:
- The Rock, Undertaker, & Kane vs. Triple H, Vince & Shane McMahon (WWF Title)
- The Dudley Boyz vs. Road Dogg, X-Pac, & Tori (Table/Dumpster Match)
- Too Cool vs. Edge & Christian vs. T&A; vs. The Hardy Boyz (WWF Tag Team Titles)
- Gerald Brisco vs. Pat Patterson (WWF Hardcore Title, Evening Gown Match)
- KOTR - Chris Jericho vs. Kurt Angle
- KOTR - Crash Holly vs. Bull Buchanan
- KOTR - Chris Benoit vs. Rikishi
- KOTR - Val Venis vs. Eddie Guerrero
- For more information on the stipulations and rules of the matches, visit our WWF PPV area.

Once again, as always, we will be providing live coverage of the entire pay per view, starting this Sunday night at 8:00 PM EST. I will be typing the results as detailed as I possibly can and will post them just seconds after each match is complete. If you are unable to watch the PPV this Sunday, please join us for all the live action.

Jim Ross once again updated his weekly edition of the Ross Report this Friday, and as always, it had a few interesting bits of news. BB AKA Barbara Bush and real name, Kathy Dingman, has been released by the World Wrestling Federation, according to JR. She was last seen on WWF Television being powerbombed through a table by the Dudleys a few months ago.

The WWF apparently has interest in Kurt Angle's older brother Eric, according to Jim Ross. Eric is also a former All-American wrestler and is currently being evaluated by the World Wrestling Federation. He is 31 years old, 6'1, and 250 pounds. If he's anything like his brother Kurt when it comes to wrestling skills and charisma, the WWF could have yet another big star.

Ross also stated that the WWF will be introducing new storylines at the King of the Ring and on Raw is War the following night, this Monday. That should definitely make a lot of people happy, including myself.

The Big Show is expected to return from knee surgery in the next couple of weeks, according to a statement he made recently at the WWF's themed entertainment complex, WWF New York.

This Wednesday, June 28, The Rock will be hosting MTV's TRL. Also that day, TRL will be world premiering Wyclef Jean's new video "It Doesn't Matter," which also features The Rock in it.

It has been announced by WCW that this Monday's WCW Nitro will feature a four-way WCW World Title Main event, where the winners of three other matches that night will take on Jeff Jarrett. The six wrestlers featured in the three matches are Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, The Franchise, Mike Awesome, and a mystery wrestler. Is it me or has WCW been putting on much better quality shows with their new booking staff? Terry Taylor and company are definitely doing a tremendous job.

Speaking of the "mystery wrestler," it is currently rumored to be Japanese star Keiji Mutoh, better known as the Great Muta. Muta has been recently signed to a deal by WCW that could have him working with the company for as long as six months. He was originally scheduled to work only a few shows, but has now been signed to a longer deal. Could Vince Russo's absence from WCW be a reason for that? WCW has once again started to focus more on the wrestling aspect of the show, which is what the WWF has been successful with as of late. When you have a perfect balance of wrestling and sports entertainment, you have a great show.

To add even more to the reasons for Vince Russo's absence, according to Wade Keller, Russo may be in the hot seat after shaving Reid Flair's head a few weeks ago despite Standards and Practices and Brad Siegel both ruling against it. Russo was told not to go through with the angle, but did so anyway. I really see no harm in that angle and I think this Standards and Practices thing is getting a bit ridiculous in WCW. If Ried Flair was fine with it, why not?

According to WCW.com, Miss Hancock vs. Daffney and Booker T vs. Kanyon may be added to the WCW Bash at the Beach PPV card.

On the subject of WCW PPVs, the early buyrate number for the Great American Bash is a dismal 0.2, according to Dave Scherer. To put it in perspective, ECW PPVs generally draw 0.2-0.3 buyrates and WWF PPVs usually draw 1.0-1.3.

Wednesday's WCW Thunder drew a 2.5 rating, off hours of 2.4 and 2.5, with a 4.1 share, meaning 4.1% of households watched the program.

On the other side of things, WWF Smackdown! drew a relatively low 4.2 rating with a 7.7 share.

New Jack may have been seriously injured last night at the ECW TV Tapings in Milwaukee, WI at the Rave. He made a run in during a match between DeVito and Chilly Willy, where he eventually did another one of his infamous balcony dives onto one of the Baldies. After making the dive, he was stretchered out and apparently suffered a broken leg or broken ankle, according to reports. No word yet on the extent of the injuries or how much action New Jack will miss.

ECW may do a two day tournament for the ECW Tag Team Titles on August 25 and August 26 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, according to Dave Scherer. However, as of now, ECW has not officially decided whether or not they will go through with the tournament. Hopefully something is done soon, because personally, I feel the situation is taking way too long to be addressed.

In case you missed it on the main page, TPWW was recently featured on DirecTV's "Big Events Online." Thanks to everyone who sent us e-mails about it and thanks to Ry for taping it, allowing me to record a video clip. If you haven't yet, you can check out the feature HERE.

Also, I want to thank Rob Aguilar for his help in working out a few things with our Newsboard. Rob has a great site, which features one of the biggest and best wrestler biography sections I have ever seen. You can check out Rob's site here: WrestlingResources.com.

With that, I'm going to wrap today's report up. If you haven't yet, please be sure to vote in our King of the Ring Fantasy Tournament, where you choose the winners of the King of the Ring Tournament based on the actual brackets. I should be posting the final round tomorrow. Also, please join us this Sunday night for LIVE King of the Ring PPV coverage. I'm definitely excited for the PPV and it should be pretty fun to watch. Until next time, later.
