By Big Ry

It's me, Ry, on this Monday, August 7th, 2000, and these are the People's News and Rumors. This report may be a little on the short and quick side, so let's get going ASAP...

A couple of WCW media appearances to start the report off... Kevin Nash hosts VH1's "The List" on Tuesday, August 15th, along with guest panelists WCW Champion Booker T, Sting, Scotty Steiner, and the Disco Inferno. The topic I do believe is best work out song, so I'd advise many of you WCW fans to check it out. The show will air on the 15th at 7 PM and will re-air on both the 17th at 1 PM, and 18th at 2 AM.

Former 3 time, 3 time, 3 time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Diamond Dallas Page will be appearing on the syndicated talk show, The Donnie and Marie show on the 14th of August. I'm sure it will be interesting, and I'm almost positive that Page will be shilling his book, Positively Kanyo... Err, Positively Page.

Bill Goldberg will be featured on Comedy Central's "Turn Ben Stein On" on August 17. If you're not familiar with Turn Ben Stein On, it's a talk show with Ben Stein, the host of the Clear Eye Commercials, and my personal favorite game show, Win Ben Stein's Money.

In an interesting tidbit, WCW is bringing back the Hummer... But not for on air purposes, as WCW and Gateway are teaming up for the WCW Nitro Back to School Hummer Tour. Check WCW.com for more details as WCW stars and Nitro Girls cruise the nation and Gateway Country Stores in the Hummer. I wonder if Eric Bischoff will be driving it?

Couple of already announced matches for Nitro, as Adams and Clark, Kronic defends their tag titles against the team of Jindrak and O'Haire. Should be an interesting contest after what went down on last week's Nitro. Also on deck for tomorrow's Nitro, the WCW Canadian Heavyweight Champion, the Saskatchewan Hardcore Intertnational title holder, and the Canadian 100 Kilos and Under Champion, Lance Storm has the chance to take home all the singles titles as the triple champion takes on the WCW World Champion, Booker T.

Quick thought on the Storm/Booker match booked for Nitro, from where I stand, it's not that improbable that Lance Storm walks away with the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Even though Lance defeating Booker T for the World Title would completely destroy all plans in terms of angles coming up for New Blood Rising, which is in Vancouver... British Columbia, Canada, it wouldn't make for a bad PPV main event between Booker and Storm in front of a hot Canadian Crowd rooting for their Canadian hero, Lance Storm.

Moving on to some ECW news for today, ECWWrestling.com has announced several matches for ECW Arena show on the 17th of August... Already announced, Yoshihiro Tajiri takes on Lucha Libre Sensation, Psicosis in a match up that ECW Executive Producer, Paul Heyman has high hopes for even going to compare it to the first time Eddie Guerrero and Dean Malenko met up in the ECW Arena or Psicosis took on Rey Mysterio Jr in the ECW Arena for the first time. Another match up announced for the ECW Arena show is Tommy Dreamer and the team of Doring and Roadkill taking on the trio of Simon Diamond, Swinger, and CW Anderson in a six man tag. This serves two purposes at once, hyping up the tag tournament at the end of the month in which both Simon and Swinger, and Doring and Roadkill are favored teams in, and furthering the Anderson/Dreamer feud that started at Friday's TNN Taping in West Virginia. In the main event for the ECW Arena Show, the team of Rob Van Dam and Kid Kash take on the duo of both ECW Singles Champions, TV Champion Rhino and ECW World Champion, Justin Credible.

Also expect the former Meanie, the Blue Boy to finally return to in ring competition after a month or so of being back in ECW. The Blue Boy, who returned at the last ECW Arena show with his real life love interest, Jasmin St. Claire, looks great physically, but one has to wonder if he has any ring rust after being off for a month or so.

The next ECW tidbit contains a bit of a spoiler from this week's TNN Show, so if you don't want to be spoiled, please scroll down to the WWF news for the day... *** Spoiler begins here *** Last Friday night in at the TNN Taping in West Virginia, Steve Corino seemingly split from the network after being angered that the Steve and Scotty Anton duo will not be representing the network in the tag title tournament (rather Justin Credible and Rhino), Corino seemingly wanted out of the whole Network stable. This of course angered both Justin Credible and Rhino, and without a doubt Cyrus. Going even further to prove his point, Steve Corino who has turned a lot of heads as of late, has challenged ECW World Champion, Justin Credible to a World Title match for the Second Night of the big two night extravaganza in Manhattan's Hammerstein Ball Room. *** Spoiler Stops here ***

Moving on, the WWF put up an excellent little feature on Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley's Website to advance the angle between Triple H and Stephanie. The feature has two magazines, one, SMH which would be the typical women's magazine representing Stephanie's side of the story. While the other magazine entitled, The Game, takes the side of it's namesake, Triple H. To check it out, and I advise that you do, click HERE.

In other WWF internet related news, the WWF has re-opened WWFHoTrain.com in some what of a counteractive to the RTC, and a way to protest the disappearance of Hoes at ringside for WWF events. It's an interesting site, and it's somewhat back to normal from a site that was taken over by Steven Richards about a week ago.

Interesting little note on the two hoes that have been protesting the RTC as of late, as both hail from the Independent Federation, UPW. They're known as Miss Delicious and HBIC. To check out these two ladies in outfits that can only be described as scantily clad, click HERE.

The RTC, the stable that consists of Steven Richards, The Good Father, and Bull Buchanan have opened up their own website, RightToCensor.com. It's a rather different page than the WWFHoTrain site, but as it's definitely more appropriate for your moral well being.

Finally, a quick reminder that tonight's Raw takes place in an arena that some believe is the WWF's home away from home, New York's Madision Square Garden. The WWF usually puts on top notch shows when they come to MSG, so you can expect a great show tonight.

Well, that wraps it up for today, so until next time, I'm Ry, and as always, Ciao...
