Hello and welcome back to The People's Wrestling Website, TPWW.net. For all the regular readers of this site, I feel that we sort of, somewhat, kinda have some explaining to do. Over the past few weeks, I can't even count how many "What the hell is going on?" e-mails I've received. The reason, of course, is the recent lack of updates to the N&R; here at TPWW. To tell you the truth, I've even been asking myself that question lately (Yeah, I've even started talking to myself). The answer is simple. The entire TPWW N&R; staff has come down with a horrible case of... laziness... and business too, I guess. But never fear, everyone, for your lovable (or hateable? Is that even a real word?) webmaster has come up with a plan. Trusty and hardworking TPWW member Corey Silvia, who writes both a kick ass weekly column and the Q&A; here at TPWW, has volunteered to help out with the N&R; and will write his "inaugural" report... TOMORROW. Knowing Corey and his style of writing, I'm confident that he'll be a great addition to the TPWW N&R; staff. And if he isn't, I will officially shut down TPWW. The pressure is on, Corey. (JUST KIDDING. JUSTTTTT KIDDING. OK?) Anyway, for the... fourth, fifth, sixth (?) time in the last... like 2 weeks, here I am with today's newssssss and rumors.

It seems like in each of the last few reports I've done, I've started off with news on Stone Cold Steve Austin and the potential return of the Rattlesnake. But today, I'm in the mood to start things off differently... Actually, I'll just start off with news on Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Austin's return has been basically confirmed for September 24 at the WWF's PPV, Unforgiven. In his recent Ross Report, Ross mentioned that Austin will almost definitely be on hand for the PPV as well as Raw is War the next night, which just happens to be the WWF's debut on TNN. According to JR, Austin has brought his weight to about 245 pounds and is in great shape, getting ready for a huge return. Austin's official in-ring return, however, may very well occur at the WWF's October PPV, No Mercy on October 22. This "Whodunnit?" angle concerning the car driver who hit Austin should be a great one and definitely a huge ratings-getter for the WWF.

Staying on the subject of Stone Cold, Jim Ross also recently mentioned that Austin and the WWF's Debra will mary in the next week or so. Definitely great news there and best of luck goes out to Stone Cold and Debra.

And staying on the subject of weddings, Jerry "The King" Lawler will marry "The Kat" sometime this month. Best of luck goes out to them to.

The four-way WWF world title main event for Unforgiven has basically been confirmed, as the Rock will defend his title against Chris Benoit, Kane, and the Undertaker. Also expected for the PPV will be Triple H vs. Kurt Angle, Edge & Christian vs. the Hardys in a steel cage, and the King vs. Tazz in a leather strap match, according to JR. Add Steve Austin's return in the mix and this month's PPV has potential to be a blockbuster.

The WWF mentioned recently that if Al Gore and George "Dubbya" Bush agree to have a debate inside a WWF ring anytime soon, it would be moderated by Jesse "The Body" Ventura. That would be pretty interesting to see and if it did happen, would definitely have a large impact in younger voters in the US. But honestly, for whatever reason, I doubt it'll actually happen.

In injury news, Bob Holly is expected back in October, Tori is expected back in late October/early November, and both Billy Gunn and the British Bulldog will be cleared to return to the ring in two weeks, although their actual returns have not been confirmed or finalized yet, according to Jim Ross.

Mark Henry is also on the road to a return to the WWF ring, as the former Olympian has slimmed down to about 350 pounds from his former 400 plus pound weight. According to Jim Ross, if Henry continues to progress, we could see him back on WWF television before the end of the year.

This past Thursday's WWF Smackdown! did a pretty good (in the WWF's standards) 4.7 rating. Thanks to Dave Scherer for the number.

WCW Thunder, on the other hand, did a 2.4 rating for Wednesday's show, off hours of 2.4 and 2.4.

An interesting main event has been announced for this Monday's Nitro, as Kevin Nash will be "ordered" to defend his WCW World Title against none other than Scott Steiner. Adding to the drama (actually, he might just save it for yo' moma), Booker T will be the special guest referee and Goldberg will be the special guest "ring enforcer" outside the ring.

There is a possibility that WCW Nitro may be moved from TNT to TBS sometime soon, according to Dave Scherer. Turner broadcasting is reportedly interested in moving much of their sports related programming to TBS, including WCW, to make TBS more of a "man-appealing" network. Rumors are that WCW Nitro was very close to being moved to TBS earlier this year, but obviously wasn't, for whatever reason. For now, this is just a possibility, so take it for what it's worth.

Vince Russo has recently been feeling the effects of a concussion, which he suffered at the hands of Big Vito at the August 28 Nitro, when Vito nailed him with the stickball stick. Also on this past Monday's Nitro, Russo was nailed even worse by the Cat and may have added to his concussion. Russo has reportedly been feeling very dizzy recently and according to various reports, most likely won't "wrestle" in the ring for at least another three months.

Tommy Dreamer suffered a separated shoulder during this past Thursday's ECW show in Cleveland, Ohio. Dreamer apparently injured the shoulder taking a suplex, but continued the rest of the match, obviously favoring the injured shoulder. No word yet on whether or not, or how much action Dreamer will miss.

ECW held a TV taping last night in Buffalo, NY. Big thanks to Chris Lang for sending along a report of the event. You can check out the complete results HERE.

In what comes as EXCELLENT news to me, ECWwrestling.com has announced that they will be holding a PAY PER VIEW on Sunday, December 3 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City! If you saw last night's ECW on TNN, you saw how hot the entire crowd was. ECW is reportedly extremely happy with the location of the Hammerstein Ballroom, right in Manhattan, NYC, and the crowd that attended the show and will come back in December for a PPV. Tickets for the PPV will go on sale next Monday, September 18 through Ticketmaster. Once again, I know I'll have a ticket.

And hey, speaking of me attending the ECW show, did any one else catch the TPWW sign at last night's ECW on TNN? If not, check out a snapshot of it HERE. Yeah, that was me holding it up. :-) That's the seventh TPWW sign seen at an ECW event (counting a couple we haven't been able to get pics of) and the 21st or 22nd TPWW sign shown on TV at any wrestling event. To check out images of the signs we've managed to get snapshots of, click HERE.

For the several of you who have asked, YES, the TPWW wrestling videogames website will be back up SOON! I promise! We've just completed the new design and are currently just putting the final touches on everything. It'll be back shortly with a completely new kick ass design, courtesy of MTfnS, more content, news, and everything else you can imagine.

And with that, it's time to wrap this report up. My mind is totally blank right now (Actually, I'm just too LAZY to type anymore.) so until next time... later.
