Hey, you. No, not you, the guy behind you... Welcome back to The People's Wrestling Website, TPWW.net. We are coming off last night's WWF pay per view, WWF No Mercy, which was moderately noteworthy, to say the least. There's a lot to discuss today, so without further delay, here we go! (How stupid?)
Starting things off on a serious and sad note, former two time WWF champion Yokozuna, real name Rodney Anoai, was found dead yesterday due to a heart attack. The former champion was found dead in his London hotel room, according to WWF.com. He was 34 years old. Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Anoai during this difficult time. We hope to have more information on this unfortunate and terribly stunning situation soon.
As mentioned above, the WWF held their PPV for the month of October, WWF No Mercy. Honestly, I really enjoyed the show for the most part. The wrestling was great in most matches, and the few that lacked in that department made up for it with the entertainment/humor factor. For example, the Hardy Boyz vs. Los Conquistadors match (more on Los Conquistadors later). That really seemed to drag on too long and took the crowd out of it. However, the whole angle is great. The Edge & Christian "nuts" interview was hilarious. Then we have William Regal vs. Mideon... Actually, that wasn't too entertaining now that I think about it, although it's always fun to watch Regal's facial expressions. As for the uppercard and other matches, I thought the Angle vs. Rock match was excellent, plus the crowd was really into the action, which never hurts. The Triple H vs. Benoit match was great too. Both men are spectacular wrestlers, but I'm sure you figured that out yourself. As for the Austin vs. Rikishi match, it was surprising to see the match so early in the card, with Regal vs. Mideon directly following it up. Who else laughed when the WWF cut from the drama of the Austin-Rikishi angle directly to Steven Regal's theme music and entrance? The X-Pac vs. Jericho cage match was also a pretty good match, as was the opening table match. All in all, I really enjoyed the PPV.
The Conquistadors who wrestled the Hardys last night at No Mercy were in fact Edge & Christian. Later in the night when Edge & Christian caught up with Los Conquistadors to celebrate them on their hard fought victory, the men who played the role of the Luchadores were Christopher Daniels and Aaron Aguilera, who have wrestled as Los Conquistadors on recent occasions and have also been wrestling dark matches at various WWF shows. Also, you may have noticed that "Dos" (Christian) seemed to injure his arm towards the end of the match. The injury, thankfullly, was not terribly serious, as Christian only felt numbness in his arm.
As you may have also noticed, the T&A; and Trish vs. Acolytes & Lita match didn't take place and ended up as an angle where T&A; took out the Acolytes backstage. The match actually didn't take place due to both Acolytes actually being injured in reality. Faarooq has recently been suffering from a knee injury, which explains the attack on his leg angle, and Bradshaw has a few broken ribs.
You can expect the following matches on tonight's edition of Raw is War:
- Chris Benoit vs. Road Dogg
- Trish Stratus vs. Lita - Bra & Panties Match (whoo)
- Tazz & Raven vs. Too Cool
- Val Venis vs. Mr. Ass
- Los Conquistadors vs. Edge & Christian - Tag Titles
- William Regal vs. Chris Jericho - European Title
- Low Down will be guests live at WWF New York
Nothing new to report on the WWF-WCW buyout situation, unfortunately, but of course, we'll try our best to keep everyone updated. Also continue to check out our Newsboard for any late breaking developments.
THQ's upcoming WWF video games, WWF Smackdown! 2 for the Sony Playstation and WWF No Mercy for the Nintendo 64 will both be released on December 1, 2000. Thanks to Michael Butler for sending that information. As for a US release date, both games should hopefully be available by mid November, around November 14-16.
Chyna has a few more media appearances coming up this week. Chyna's appearance on Howard Stern will air tonight on E! at 11PM, right after Raw. Also, later this week, Chyna will be featured on the MTV show, "Diary," which airs this Thursday at 10:30 PM EST, according to WWF.com.
On the subject of WWF media appearances, Triple H will appear on "Live with Regis" tomorrow to help promote the WWF's new cookbook, "Can You Take the Heat?" He will be the second of five WWF superstars this week appearing on the show, with Chyna appearing this morning. Triple H will be preparing a dish from the WWF cookbook, "Swordfish a la Helmsley." Then on Wednesday, the lovely Lita will make an appearance to prepare spicy black beans with onions and bacon, according to WWF.com. Thursday, Kurt Angle will prepare "All-American Apple Pie," and finally, on Friday, Stone Cold Steve Austin will stop by Regis to prepare "Stomp a Mud Hole in Your Steaks and Ribs" simmering sauce.
William Petersen sent along the following about Raven: "Raven called into K-Rock Radio in New York Thursday night around 9:50 PM. He plugged No Mercy, talked about his career, said that one of his legs is longer than the other and that he has an IQ of 143. He also said how he started out with an obnoxious persona and eventually 'became himself' with the Raven persona."
Kevin Nash will be wrestling at an independent wrestling show on November 3. RUWearingAWire sent along the following: "I live in Lancaster, CA and I just caught a commercial for a show that will be put on by the 'Chaos Wrestling Federation' on November 3 at 7:30PM at the Sage Pavillion at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds. According to the commercial, Kevin Nash will be in action along with indy wrestlers 'The Coroner' & 'The Hardcore Kid'. Apparently Kevin Nash will also be signing autographs at the location from 6PM to 7:30PM. Tickets are available at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds box office. Ticket prices were not disclosed in the commercial."

Tonight, WCW starts its (in my mind) horrible idea of taping Thunder and Nitro on the same night. Right after Nitro goes off the air live tonight, WCW will begin taping WCW Thunder. Imagine how dead the crowd will be by the time Thunder rolls around. Oh, man.
Expect the following on tonight's Nitro:
- A WCW wrestler will make his return (possibly Vampiro).
- Kronik has been paid once again to "take someone out."
- Mike Sanders displays his martial arts skills.
- Misfits in Action will get revenge on Team Canada.
- Disqo Inferno may have a "major announcement."
- Goldberg will be in action.
- The Perfect Event vs. The Harris Brothers
- Mark Jindrak vs. Kidman vs. Alex Wright
And with that, it's time to bring this report to a close. I would say more in this conclusion, but to tell you the truth... I don't want to. Ha ha ha. Until next time...
