(dramatic pause)... Hey yo. Welcome to the Saturday edition of the "N&R;" here at TPWW.net. For whatever reason, news has seemingly slowed down over the past couple of days, but nonetheless, there are a few interesting things to talk about today, as well as a small "favor" I need of everyone reading this report. So without further delay, here are today's news and rumors.

In his latest audio commentary at RobVanDam.com, Rob Van Dam mentions that he is currently "exploring his options" as to where he wants to wrestle in the future. As mentioned previously, Paul Heyman has given RVD, as well as several other wrestlers, the OK to "look elsewhere." However, Van Dam stated that he hopes for the best for ECW, and if everything turns out well for them, he'd love to continue working for them. As of now, Van Dam is not scheduled for the ECW Massacre on 34th Street PPV tomorrow night in Manhattan, NY. RVD stated that he would simply be watching the show at home. To check out the commentary in full, visit RobVanDam.com.

The WWF is holding their semiannual UK-only pay per view, WWF Rebellion, right now in Sheffield, England. We will have full results of the show, which features a main event of Kurt Angle vs. The Rock vs. Steve Austin vs. Rikishi, right here on TPWW later today. To check out the complete card, click HERE.

Vince McMahon will be featured in an interview for the February 2001 edition of Playboy Magazine, according to Bob Ryder.

Chris Chivrall of The Sun Newspaper Online sent along a transcript of a recent webchat with Chris Jericho on the Sun Newspaper's website. To check out the chat transcript, click HERE.

Smackdown scored a 5.7 overnight rating for Thursday's show, helping UPN to a fourth place network finish, behind only NBC, ABC, and CBS. Smackdown! actually beat out FOX, which aired a Britney Spears and N Sync concert special. The Britney special scored a 6.0, while the N Sync special scored a 5.3. Ha.

On the flipside, WCW Thunder scored a relatively good 2.4 rating for Wednesday's show, up significantly from last week's dismal 1.9 rating. That's definitely pretty good news on the WCW front.

Entertainment Weekly and WCW.com are both reporting that Goldberg may appear in the upcoming "Incredible Hulk" movie. There are rumors that he may play either the lead villain role, or the main role of the Incredible Hulk himself.

For all those who asked, the Torrie Wilson injury angle this past Wednesday on Thunder was just that - an angle. As many of you may have heard, Torrie has been given her release from WCW, and the injury angle was a way of writing her out of the WCW storylines. WCW has offered her an opportunity to sign a new deal for much less than she was previously making, but it doesn't appear that she's too thrilled with it. There are also rumors that Torrie has been interested in signing with the WWF. No word on that situation as of yet.

We may see an angle soon where Stevie Ray returns to the WCW announce table as a commentator, greatly angering Scott Steiner, who thought he had ended Stevie's career, according to Dave Meltzer.

The ECW website has put up a poll asking ECW fans to vote for the "ECW Wrestler of the Year." Your choices are Jerry Lynn, Justin Credible, Kid Kash, New Jack, Rhino, RVD, Sandman, Steve Corino, Super Crazy, Tajiri, and Tommy Dreamer. As of now, Justin Credible is actually in the lead with 17% of the votes, followed closely by RVD with 15%, Kash with 14%, Corino with 13%, Tajiri with 11%, and Jerry Lynn with 10%. To cast your vote, click HERE.

On the subject of polls, the latest poll right here on TPWW has been one of the most interesting in recent memory. It asks, "Given the current state of WCW, would you like to see Hulk Hogan return?" So far, "Yes" is in the lead with almost 51% of the votes, while "No" has 49%. This is definitely one of the closest polls we've had in a while, so if you haven't voted yet, you can cast your vote now at the TPWW main page.

As some of you may know, both Ry and I will be attending the big ECW PPV tomorrow night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, New York and of course, we'll be bringing a few signs. So far, we've got the following... "JERRY LYNN = NEXT WWF ANNOUNCER"... "ANGLE'S BROTHER IS UNDER THE RING" (Thank you, Adam Kirk)... "GERTNER FEARS LIVE PBP"... and of course, "TPWW.NET." Does anyone out there have any other clever sign ideas you'd like to see held up at the PPV? Well, let us know by clicking HERE.

That just about wraps things up today. Sorry for the lackluster report, but unfortunately, as I stated above, there hasn't been too much to talk about in the world of wrestling over the last couple of days. Anyway, be sure to stop by later today for complete results of the WWF Rebellion PPV and check out the other updates here at TPWW. Until next time... later.
