Helllllooooo, everyone, and welcome to TPWW.net, The People's Wrestling Website. Thanks for stopping by to spend a few minutes of your Friday here at TPWW. There has been a lot to talk about in the wrestling world over the last couple of days, and I'll try my best to cover everything that needs to be covered... and probably even some stuff that doesn't need to be covered. Anyway, without further delay, here are today's news and rumors.

The big news over the last day or so for all you WWF theme music fans is that a release date has finally been announced for "WWF The Music Volume 5," a music CD featuring the entrance themes of various WWF superstars. Several people sent word that according to Amazon.com, the CD is scheduled for a February 6, 2001 release date. This seems fairly accurate, since the WWF promised a release date around that time. Unfortunately, since it's still pretty early, no official track list has been confirmed for the CD no matter what you hear elsewhere. However, the cover art for the CD has been released. To check it out, click HERE. As soon as there is a confirmed track list, it'll be posted right here at TPWW.

Since Monday is Christmas day, the WWF will give everyone the day off and instead, will tape Raw is War tonight to air on Monday. As of now, the only confirmed match is Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Kane, as was mentioned by Vince McMahon yesterday on Smackdown. Also, Jim Ross will do a sit down interview with Chyna, where she will discuss her "injury" suffered at the hands of a Val Venis piledriver. Just in case anyone has any doubts, no, she is not really injured. The WWF web site has also promised that a few participants for the Royal Rumble will be announced on Raw.

On the subject of Chyna, according to Jim Ross, her issue of Playboy sold over one million copies, which actually breaks Sable's record of about 800,000. That's definitely good news for Chyna, the WWF, and hey, even the WWF fans. Since their WWF issues do so well, it's almost inevitable that they'll be looking towards other WWF women in the future.

Staying with Chyna news, her autobiography, "Chyna: If They Only Knew," will be released on January 29/30, according to Amazon.com, at a price of $20.80. The book will be written by Chyna and author Michael Angeli. To check out the book's cover, click HERE.

And while we're on the subject of WWF books, the WWF cookbook, "Can You Take the Heat?" has sold over 130,000 copies, according to Jim Ross, which is over its projected 90,000. The book is ranked #6 in its category on the New York Times best seller list. Meanwhile, Mick Foley's "Christmas Chaos" is the #4 children's book on the NY Times best seller list.

A few WWF injury and return updates, according to Jim Ross: X-Pac should be back in action at around January 21, which happens to be the date of the Royal Rumble. Tori, on the other hand, has been officially cleared to return and could do so at any time. Lita is also suffering from back problems, including a bulging disc, and will see a doctor on January 3rd. Until then, she isn't expected to get too much ring time. Gangrel has been out of action with a bulging disc in his neck. Eddie Guerrero has been kept off WWF television as of late to heel an injured hamstring. He will be off tonight and tomorrow's tapings, but may be back by next week.

In another WWF injury update, Triple H is expected to be back on television either at or before the Royal Rumble on January 21. He is suffering from various injuries, including a herniated disc, and will be kept off WWF television over the next few weeks while he heals.

Last night's edition of WWF Smackdown scored a final rating of 4.5, down from last week's 4.9 rating.

There's not much else to report on the condition of the Road Dogg. As previously mentioned, he was suspended on Wednesday by the WWF for undisclosed reasons. Unfortunately, it's becoming more and more likely that those reasons were drug related, similar to the situation a while ago where Road Dogg took several months off. As soon as there is more to report, it will be posted here at TPWW.

Since I posted the McMahon '69 Chevy tidbit on Wednesday, BaddAss750 sent the following along. By the way, obviously we're not taking everything dont on TV seriously, but it's just fun to pick apart small mistakes by the WWF. :-) Anyway, BaddAss750 sent along this: "It is to my knowledge that Shane McMahon is about 28 years old, yet Vince McMahon stated that he only married Linda McMahon because she was pregnant with Shane. Since they've been married for 34 years, I guess it took Linda six years to give birth to Shane." Ha.

As we've seen over the last few months, the WWF has had a good working relationship with ECW, allowing their former ECW wrestlers to appear at ECW events that don't conflict with their WWF schedules. There has also been talk of more current WWF wrestlers appearing at ECW's next pay per view, Guilty as Charged, Sunday, January 7 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Unfortunately, while looking over the WWF's upcoming schedule, I found out that the WWF will be holding a house show on January 7 in Sacramento, California, all the way on the other side of the US. They will also hold Raw the next night in San Jose, California. Obviously, if a WWF wrestler would appear at the ECW PPV that night, it would conflict with their WWF schedule, meaning that any possible appearances are doubtful at this time. However, Tazz will most likely be hosting Heat that Sunday from WWF New York, which is very close to ECW's Hammerstein Ballroom. I can only hope, since I'll be at the ECW PPV.

In WCW news, bfwjr sent along the following tidbit on Glacier: Glacier was on 'The Regular Guys' show here in Atlanta yesterday. He said that he has been out of action because of a knee injury, but would be back in WCW during the first week of January. He also said that he would probably have new ring attire." There are also rumors being thrown around that when Glacier makes his WCW re-debut, he will be aligned in some sort of storyline with Norman Smiley. There's a chance that the "Glacier" gimmick won't be used too seriously, and may possibly receive a comedic role. In my opinion, comedy would work better and would make sense, since the WCW commentators make fun of Glacier each time the promos air.

Wednesday's edition of WCW Thunder scored only a 1.9 rating, down from last week's 2.2.

Diamond Dallas Page was scheduled for a chat on Yahoo! on Wednesday night. However, he canceled it. I don't think it's too hard to figure out the reason, considering he would probably be flooded with questions regarding his backstage altercation with Scott Steiner.

ECW returns to the infamous ECW Arena in south Philly tomorrow night. Of course, it's expected to be a huge show for ECW, given the standards set by previous shows at the ECW Arena.

And with that, it's just about time to wrap this one up. Thanks for stopping by. Until next time...
