Hey yo, this is The People's Wrestling Website, and you are reading the people's news and rumors. I have nothing else I need to say so it's straight to the report.
Monday night's RAW had three main focuses including the "emergency" board meeting back in Stanford, the evaluation of the Triple H and Chris Jericho feud, and the big match between the nWo and Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. When all was said and done, I thought the show was ok, nothing to really get excited about.
Some developments from RAW include the fact that Ric Flair's power has been suspended temporarily since the board of directors voted unanimously to give full power to Vince McMahon. The case will be reviewed following WrestleMania. This looks like the very early stages of the upcoming roster split and this may infact be the starting point for it. We shall see how it progresses following WrestleMania, I guess.
Kurt Angle announced that Vince McMahon gave him the OK to wrestle Kane at WrestleMania, while Booker T will wrestle Edge. The other important happening is Chris Jericho using the sledgehammer attacking Triple H by hitting him in the leg that has the reparied quad. The scene Monday night was haunting to watch since it was much like that real thing that happned for real nearly ten months ago. It was a nice way for Jericho to gain some heat, but it might have been a little too late since Jericho and Triple H have barely interacted with each other until Monday night. The nWo got their win over Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, in a fairly decent match. Scott Hall obviously worked the most out of the three nWo members, while Hogan and Nash looked mediocre in the ring I thought.
The emergecny board meeting from RAW was taped during the weekend according to 1Wrestling. This was done to prevent any rush in shooting the scenes and then editing them. Enough time was given to shoot the scenes and they were then edited to the liking of Vince McMahon.
The general feeling backstage on RAW according to 1Wrestling is that the crew were disappointed. With one week to go to WrestleMania, it is believed that there should be more excitement from the shows. I agree.
Here's more reason why the WWF crew should be disappointed. RAW scored a 4.5 Monday night off the hours of 4.2 and 4.8 That number is allright for the WWF, however, it is the same number that RAW earned last week and the WWF must be disappointed that Hulk Hogan's and Kevin Nash's return to the WWF ring didn't boost the ratings.
The dog droppings from Triple H's dog were just chocolate. As an added bonus, is there something wrong when I feel uncomfortable including anything related to dog droppings in one of my reports? Maybe it's just me (I wonder how many e-mails I will get saying it is just me :-/)
Over the weekend, Kevin Nash's official website KevinNash.net posted a message claiming there was a Nash imposter. The imposter apparantely is using the AOL Instant Messenger screen name "WCWKevin" and claiming to be Kevin Nash. The statement from the official site included that Nash does not interact with fans through e-mail, AIM, ICQ, or any outside chatroom.
From what I have gathered, Shawn Michaels was NOT backstage at RAW Monday night. The general assumption I have also gathered is that if he is to return anytime soon, it would not have any relation to the nWo like orginally thought. There was the possibility that Michaels would be the special guest referee, however, there have been no rumors as of late suggesting he will appear at the PPV, but I suppose it's still not out of the question.
The WWF announced that their recent tour of Asia was a huge success. The WWF soldout it's three events in Tokyo, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur. An overall number of 40,000 fans atteneded the shows and the WWF over 2.6 million dollars from the tour. The WWF will be doing more overseas tours including an Australian tour sometime in the late spring or summer I believe.
Triple H will be on Opie & Anthony Wednesday afternoon, as well as appear on Conan O'Brien. Both appearances will be used as promotion towards WrestleMania. Continuing with WWF TV appearances, D-Von Dudley, Jonathen Coachman, and Jazz will all appear on a BET talk show Wednesday night at 8:30 Eastern time. Speaking of TV, I might as well remind everyone of the WWF Divas special that will be on UPN Wednesday night as well.
This next paragraph may or may not be 100% necessary but I am going to add it anyways. Since I've started writing the news and rumors here, I have recieved e-mails from people with certain questions and comments as if they assumed I was the webmaster of this site. Just to make it official, I am not the TPWW webmaster, those honors still belong to Triple A. I'm only mentioning this because some of the e-mails I have gotten lately have been about job positions and other site related material, and in those instances I can't really help you. Up to this point, I have kindly replied back or forwarding your e-mail to Triple A, but I will no longer reply to those e-mails. I only wrote this, not to offend anyone, but rather to save you and myself time. I still am open to answering e-mails or instant messages regarding your wrestling questions and comments, or feedback towards my reports. Those will always be welcomed and I am really good about answering all e-mails.
With that said, it's time to end this report. I may or may not be writing the next N&R; this weekend, I'm not sure yet. Anyways, enjoy the rest of your week, later.
