Welcome back to the site for another news and rumors report on this Fourth of July holiday here in the United States. There should be plenty to write about as far as news goes, so lets begin.

Bret Hart was in a motorcycle accident last week. It is now known that the reason behind that is due to a stroke that he suffered. The risk of him having a stroke existed due to the concussions that he suffered as a professional wrestler. As a matter of fact, it was the risk of suffering a stroke that was one of the reasons why he had to retire from wrestling. He started therapy late last week which will take a slow process. It was reported earlier this week he now is able to move his toes, which is a good sign, but shows there is still a lot of work ahead for Bret Hart. We here at TPWW wish Bret Hart our best of luck.

Leon White (aka Vader) has been in the news recently on the account of his arrest Monday night. He was suspected of spitting and threatening police officers, being violent, resisting arrest, and leaving the scene of an accident. Not much more is available on this story, more may be available sometime soon.

In light of Chris Jericho's recent column bashing some of the Internet fans, Lance Storm responded in his weekly column via his website, StormWrestling.com. For those who have never read his commentary, it is always interesting to read and he is writing out of character. You can read it by clicking here.

X-Pac was originally suppose to wrestle Booker T on Monday night, but because of some injuries (not known yet) he suffered during the weekend (assuming at a house show), the Big Show replaced him.

In light of the recent settlement of the WWE lawsuit against the Parents Television Council for a number of various reasons, the PTC official website, has officially apologized to the WWE. The apology was directed at WWE for blaiming the company for the death of Lionel Tate and other children. Tate's attorneys tried convincing the jury of his trial to believe he was influenced by what he saw from professional wrestling. My quick take on this is that L. Brent Bozell III (aka Bozo) was forced into writing his apology. He mentions his the apology that he and the PTC blamed WWE too soon for the deaths of Tate and other children. While it was pro wrestling that was being blamed by Tate's attorneys, Bozell tried blaming WWE only while the WCW product was still running at the time. But because WWE had a show on a non cable station (being UPN) while WCW didn't (not including Worldwide), WWE was targetted by the PTC while WCW wasn't. You may read the apology from the official PTC site by clicking here.

Both Vince Russo and Disco Inferno were backstage at the NWA-TNA tonight in Nashville. As of this time, it is still believed that Russo is an employee of WWE as a consultant accoding to 1Wrestling.

The official WrestleMania XIX date is Sunday, March 30, 2003. However, there is no confirmed location as of yet. The full article from WWE.com may be read by clicking here.

This Sunday at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, there will be a new street name in Wildwood, New Jersey. That is all.

In other news.... just kidding, you all are probably like, what was the point of the street name news above?? The street name will be "Ric Flair Way" in honor of the one and only Ric Flair. Both Flair and Wildwood's mayor, Duane Sloan will be there for the official ceremony.

Jim Ross recently stated in a radio interview that the WWE is leary of signing Scott Steiner to a contract is because they believe it will be difficult to get him a license in every state due to his poor health. As of now, Steiner has some obligations with New Japan this month.

It is rumored that The Hurricane was upset when learning he would be losing the Cruiserweight Title at the WWE's King of The Ring Pay-Per-View.

Apparantely a lot of complaining about his career and depression has made cause for several wrestlers to be worried about the mental health of Shawn Stasiak, according to the Pro Wrestling Torch website.

There are pictures available online of Rey Mysterio Jr. at his recent WWE dark match against Sho Funaki. You can view the picutures of him with his mask and new ring gear by clicking here.

Monday's edition of Raw scored a 3.6 rating which is lower then last week's score.

That will do it for this edition of the rumors. Be on the look out on the main page for some updated columns, and there will be a few more job openings in the next few days (not columnist though). Happy Fourth of July in the US, I'll be back in a few days with another news and rumors report. Later.
