UPN has extended its contract with WWE Smackdown, making the contract "multi-year" now, Zap2It recently reported.

The article states that despite the show's lowering ratings each year, it's still the highest rated show on UPN. The article states, "for the season, "Smackdown" is averaging 5.26 million viewers. Through the same week in the 2002-03 season, the series was averaging 5.77 million viewers and through the same week in the 2001-02 season, that number was closer to 6.59 million viewers."
