-- Last night at the WWE Royal Rumble event, when being throw from the ring for his elimination, John Cena landed badly on his leg and knee, hitting the floor at a different angle to that of his leg.
Immediately after checking on Cena's condition, the officials around the ring gave the 'X' sign (which indicates that an unscripted/non-worked injury has occurred and the person who has taken the brunt of it is not in a fit condition to continue). Unlike on Smackdown! this past week, where they used the X sign during the last match to sell the Angle 'thumb to eye' spot, this was not part of a gimmick and Cena was legitimately injured.
As soon as we have any word on the extent of the injury, it will be posted right here on this newsboard, so bookmark the site and come back in 24 hours for a full update.
UPDATE: Although it appeared he was badly injured, Cena is reportedly fine, according to Dave Meltzer. Good news.
-- For those of you who didn't order the pay per view last night, for the Royal Rumble match-up itself, Tazz and JR called the match to solve the whole 'which announce team' problem. In addition, Coach started the evening with Lawler and Ross, but was promptly taken out during the first matchup.
